Technical Characteristics

The very special "marble affect" of COCCIO ANTICO by OIKOS allows the recreation of ancient decorative effects using only natural materials. The use of COCCIO ANTICO by OIKOS guarantees the maximum vapour permeability of the wall and aids the natural diffusion of humidity through the substrate, therefore avoiding the formation, over time, of mould and bacteria. The product’s natural composition, based on lime putty and granules of terracotta or stores, make it particularly adapt for decoration in an antique style. It is odourless, non-flammable, non-toxic and totally environmentally friendly.

Decoration of walls and indoor furniture.

Surface Preparation

Clean the surface to be decorated, removing any loose material and apply the recommended fixative, IL PRIMER by OIKOS, in order to ensure good adhesion of the product to the surface.

Application Method

To achieve the perfect finish, apply the product in three coats using a steel trowel by OIKOS.

• - First coat: apply the first coat of COCCIO ANTICO/CEMENTO in such a way as to smooth over the surface, paying careful attention to not break the granules. Wait for 6 ÷ 8 hours until dry.
• - Second coat: apply the product onto a section of the surface. Maintaining the trowel on its edge, proceed to break the granules in the first coat at the same time removing the leftover product of the second coat. Repeat this for the whole of the wall, wait 6 ÷ 8 hours until dry.
• - Final coat: can be carried out in two different ways. Alternative a) apply a thin layer of COCCIO ANTICO/CEMENTO by OIKOS, proceeding at the same time to polish by smoothing over the surface. Alternative b) for an even shinier finish, apply a thin layer of RAFFAELLO DECOR STUCCO by OIKOS in the same tint as the Coccio used, proceed at the same time to polish by smoothing over the surface.

Finishing / Protective

To guarantee that the finish is washable and waterproof, it is recommended that after 4 ÷ 5 days, a coat of CERA PER RAFFAELLO by OIKOS be applied.

Storage temperature: +2°C to +36°C. Keep from freezing

Fire reaction: negative if applied on to a non flammable surface, water based material with a dry thickness of less than 0.600 mm
