Technical CharacteristicsFONDO MURALES by OIKOS is a special, acrylic base coat that forms and ideal base for the decorative finishes, The products particular formulation based on acrylic resins brings together the characteristics of vapour permeability and excellent surface coverage, thus preparing the surface in an ideal manner for subsequent decoration. The product has a low odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Ideal UseInterior Walls Applications with Nevada, Encanto, Granada among others Application MethodApply by brush, roller or spray gun, according to the required coverage, one or two coats of FONDO MURALES by OIKOS in the colour indicated for the finish product to be used, dilute with 20 ÷ 30% of drinkable water leaving approximately 6 hours between one coat and the other by brush, roller or spray gun (nozzle 1.7 mm) Surface Preparation:New surfaces should be dry and thoroughly mature .On old surfaces or previously painted surfaces, remove deposits of dust, smog or other impurities by brushing or washing. Remove any loose or crumbling material. Follow this by Technical Data Sheet TDL/fm/01 applying, if necessary, a coat of the special sealer NEOFIX by OIKOS. Wait 4 ÷ 6 hours until dry. Apply one or two coats of FONDO MURALES by OIKOS as a base coat. Wait 6 ÷ 8 hours until dry. Technical Characteristics: ApplicationDilution: 20 ÷ 30% drinkable water Yield: 12 ÷ 14 m2/l per coat according to absorption Application tools: Brush, roller or spray gun (nozzle 1.7 mm) Fixaives: NEOFIX by OIKOS Application temperature: +5°C ÷ +36°C (With relative humidity not exceeding 80%) Tack free time: 2 ÷ 3 hours (Temperature = 20°C with relative humidity not exceeding 75%) Time until fully cured: 24 hours (Temperature = 20°C with relative humidity at 75%) Drying time for painting: over 4 ÷ 6 hours (Temperature = 20°C with relative humidity around 75%) Tools cleaning: water Technical Characteristics: The ProductComposition: acrylic resins in water dispersion, quartz dust, high coverage, titanium dioxide based fillers and additives to aid application and formation of the surface film. Specific weight: 1.65 kg/l ± 3% pH: 8 ÷ 9 Viscosity: Coccio Antico 25.000 ± 5% CPS Brookfield (RVT 20 revs/min. a 25°C) Storage temperature: +2°C ÷ +36°C. Keep from freezing Fire reaction: negative if the product is applied onto a non-flammable surface: water based material with thickness when dry of less than 0.600 mm Colours: White Emission limits of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) according to directive 2004/42/CE: Classification: A/h; VOC: 8g/l (max); Limit Phase I (from 01/01/2007): 50g/lt, Limit Phase II (from 01/01/ 2010): 30g/lt Packaging: kg 1 – 5 –15 Toxicological Data: The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. |
