Technical Characteristics

GRANADA la Pintura Anticada is a paint that unifies colours, contrast and streaks that appear in numerous shades. Thousands of tiny drops of paint that break with the passing of the trowel over the surface and that due to a particular magnetism, become a blend of colours with an antique effect. Thanks to its formulation and to the special pigments used, it is possible to admire the huge number of colours that are able to bring new sensations to the wall. The colours of GRANADA create a balance between the antique decorations of luxurious villas and noble palaces and the needs of the houses of the 21st century.

GRANADA la Pintura Anticada is washable, water repellent, scratch resistant and helps to prevent the formation of mould. It’s easy to apply and allows application without leaving joints or imperfections.

The product is free of toxic substances and does not contain toxic solvents, odours or chlorides. Friendly to man and the environment.

Interior surfaces in every type of building both historic and modern.

Surface Preparation

New surfaces should be dry and thoroughly mature. On old surfaces or previously painted surfaces, remove deposits of dust, smog or other impurities by brushing or washing. Remove any loose or crumbling material.

• Follow this by applying, if necessary, a coat of the special sealer NEOFIX by OIKOS.
• Wait 4 ÷ 6 hours until dry.
• Apply one or two coats of FONDO MURALES by OIKOS as a base coat. Wait 6 ÷ 8 hours until dry.

Application Method

Apply GRANADA la Pintura Anticada by the special Spanish-Brush by OIKOS crossing the brush strokes, immediately pass over the same part of the surface with the Spanish-Brush empty, in order to evenly distribute the product over the surface.

After 5 ÷ 10 minutes pass over the surface again with an inox steel trowel by OIKOS, applying light pressure to squash the product but without removing it.

Dilution: 5 ÷ 10% drinkable water

Yield: 6 ÷ 8 m2/l according to surface absorption

Application tools: Spanish-Brush and inox steel trowel by OIKOS

Fixaives: Neofix by OIKOS

Base coat: Fondo Murales by OIKOS

Application temperature: +5°C to +36°C (with relative humidity not exceeding 80%)

Time until touch dry: 3 ÷ 4 hours (temperature = 20° C with relative humidity at 75%)

Total drying time: 2 ÷ 3 days (temperature = 20°C with relative humidity at 75%)

Tools cleaning: water

Warning:

• hand mix or in gyroscopic mixer for max. 1 minute low speed.

Fire reaction:negative if applied on to a non flammable surface, water based material with a dry thickness of less than 0.600 mm

Wash resistant: Washable according to the norm UNI 10560:1956
