Technical Characteristics

KREOS by OIKOS is an interior decorative plaster based on acrylic resins in water dispersion and selected fillers. Thanks to its composition the product remains soft to touch and easy to work with. It is able to produce classic decoration or modern designs using the architect’s fantasy and the ability of the decorator with the right tool: a scratch pad, a plastic trowel, a marine sponge, a bristle pad and a brush allow a whole series of effects in various colours and styles, adapting the decoration to perfectly suit the desired ambient. KREOS is abrasion resistant, vapour permeable, odourless, non-toxic, non-flammable, environmentally friendly.

Surface Preparation

Clean the surface to be coated, removing any loose or crumbling parts. In the case of old or powdering surfaces, it is advised to apply a coat of sealer such as NEOFIX or CRILUX by OIKOS. In the case of rough or uneven surfaces it is advised to first screed the surface using PASTE SCREED FOR WALLS by OIKOS. Apply then a coat of the primer IL PRIMER by OIKOS.

Application Method

Apply Kreos uniformly onto the wall using a medium hair roller. Before the product dries, proceed in the working of the product using the necessary tool for the desired effect

Finishing / Protective

KREOS is a finished decorative product itself but con also be decorated on top in order to give different finishings and touches. In this case once dry, proceed with the decoration of the surface using the products indicated: Veldecor, Pallas, Multidecor and Ultrasaten by OIKOS. It is also possible to achieve a rustic style finish with an additional finish technique.

Dilution: ready to use, max 5% drinkable water

Yield: 3 ÷ 4 m2/l depending on the type of surface and the desired effect

Application tools: scratch pad, pad, plastic trowel, spatula, bristle pad, brush, marine sponge, stainless steel trowel by OIKOS

Fixatives: NEOFIX or CRILUX by OIKOS

Base coat: IL PRIMER by OIKOS

Application temperature: +5°C to +36°C (with relative humidity not exceeding 80%)

Tack free time: 2 hour (temperature = 20°C with relative humidity not exceeding 75%)

Time until fully cured: 7 days (temperature = 20°C with relative humidity at 75%)

Tools cleaning: water

Specific weight: 1.17 kg/l ±3%

pH: 8 ÷ 9

Viscosity: 18,000 ÷ 23,000 CPS Brookfield (RVT 20 revs/min at 25°C)

Storage temperature: +2°C to +36°C. Keep from freezing

Fire reaction: non flammable if the product is applied on to a non-flammable surface: water based material with a dry thickness of less than 0.600 mm

Water vapour permeability (SD): 0.22 m (max allowed 2 m, DIN 52 615)

Washed resistance: conforms to the norm DIN 53 778, resists to more than 1000 abrasive cycles

Abrasion resistance: conforms to the norm DIN 53 778, resists to more than 5000 abrasive cycles
