Technical Characteristics

SUPERCOLOR is a highly washable, sanitizing, acrylic paint for interiors and exteriors, characterized by its high coverage, vapour permeability, water repellence and its smooth, matt finish. Formulated with acrylic resins in water dispersion, pigments and fillers, it is indicated on cement plasters, either new or old, gypsum plasters, already painted walls (even with strong colours). It can also be applied in exterior. It has a low odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment.

Interior & Exterior walls and surfaces.

Surface Preparation

Clean the surface, removing any loose material. For crumbly or very absorbent substrates, apply the recommended acrylic fixative CRILUX or NEOFIX by OIKOS. .In order to increase the coverage of the cycle use as primer IL PIGMENTATO by OIKOS. On good condition walls or on gypsum boards the product can be applied without using a primer. Wait at least 6 hours before applying finishing products.

Application Method

New wall, civil plaster: apply two coats of SUPERCOLOR diluted 50% with drinkable water. New wall, gypsum plaster: apply two coats of SUPERCOLOR, the first diluted 70%, the second 50% with drinkable water. Already painted wall, light or pastel colours: apply one or two coats of SUPERCOLOR according to the surface condition, diluted 50% with drinkable water. Already painted wall, strong colours: apply two coats of SUPERCOLOR diluted 50% with drinkable water. Gypsum board: apply two coats of SUPERCOLOR diluted 50% with drinkable water.

Finishing

PALLAS or OTTOCENTO by OIKOS

Technical Characteristics: Application

Dilution: 50%-70% with drinkable water according to the surface

Yield: New wall, civil plaster: 7-8 m2/l in two coats; New wall, gypsum plaster, 9-11 m2/l in two coats; Already painted wall, strong colours: 8-9 m2/l in two coats; Already painted wall light or pastel colours, 12-15 m2/l in two coats.

Tools: Brush, roller or spray gun (1.7 mm nozzle)

Primers: CRILUX, NEOFIX, IL PIGMENTATO by OIKOS

Application temperature: +5°C ÷ +36°C (With relative humidity not exceeding 80%)

Drying time: tack free 1 ÷ 1.3 hours (Temperature =20°C with relative humidity less than 75%)

Drying time: fully cured 4 days (Temperature = 20°C with relative humidity less than 75%)

Technical Characteristics: The Product

Composition: Acrylic resins in water dispersion, organic and inorganic pigments, additives aimed at helping application and film formation.

Specific weight: 1.57 Kg/l ±3% (white)

pH: 8-9

Viscosity: 21,000 +/-5% CPS Brookfield (RVT 20 revs/min. a 25°C)

Storage temperature: +2°C ÷ +36°C. Keep from freezing

Fire reaction: Negative when the product is applied onto a non flammable surface: water based material with dry thickness of less than 0,600 mm Water vapour permeability (Sd): 0.35 m (max allowed limit 2 m DIN 52 615)

Resistance to washing: Conforms to the norm DIN 53 778, resistant to at least 1,000 abrasive cycles. Emission limits of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) according to directive 2004/42/CE: Classification: A/a; VOC: 12g/l (max); Limit Phase I (from 01/01/2007): 75g/lt, Limit Phase II (from 01/01/ 2010): 30g/lt Resistance to abrasion Conforms to the norm DIN 53 778, resistant to more than 5,000 abrasive cycles, in this case over 40,000 hits of brush. Toxicological Data: The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time.
